MESSAGE FROM THE DEAN

Welcome to the School of Pharmacy of the University of Puerto Rico. The School of Pharmacy, founded in 1913, is now an integral part of the Medical Sciences Campus of the University of Puerto Rico. Its main mission is the formation of human resources in pharmacy to improve the health-related quality of life of individuals and populations. As a state institution, we recognize the responsibility of assuming leadership in education, research and service in order to contribute to the health and the economy of Puerto Rico. We offer programs at the professional and graduate levels aimed at improving the effective and safe use of medications. The Doctor of Pharmacy Program is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the Residency in Pharmacy Practice is accredited by the American Society of Health Systems Pharmacy (ASHSP). The Master of Science in Pharmacy Program seeks to form human resources capable of contributing to the expansion of the pharmaceutical industry in Puerto Rico.
